8 Cleaning the appliance

WARNING: Danger of electrical shock. Electrical shock may
cause severe injuries. Always unplug the appliance before
cleaning.
ATTENTION: In order to avoid damages to the appliance never
immerse appliance, power cord and plug in water or clean
them under running water.
• Do not use any abrasives or solvents.
• Never use a steam jet appliance for cleaning.
• Clean the appliance and the vacuum chamber with a moist cloth and a mild dishwashing detergent if
required (no abrasives or solvents) before and after each use.
• Should any liquid get into the appliance, don`t connect the appliance to the mains. Allow a sufficient-
ly long drying time and contact your service point if necessarry.
• The lower foam seal as well as the rubber lip are removable for cleaning. Clean the seals (upper and
lower seal) and the rubber lip with a damp sponge and a mild dishwashing detergent.
• Allow the seal and the rubber lip to dry completely before assembling them again.
• When assembling, make sure the seal and the rubber lip fit correctly. An improper assembling may
impair the function of the appliance.

9 Maintenance

• Worn, deformed or damaged seals must be replaced in order to grant a proper working of the appli-
ance.
• Spare parts can be purchased at your service department. (contact data can be found on the back
side of this manual).
Seals are wearing parts; therefore they are not covered by the appliance's warranty.

10 Accessories

Use original Rommelsbacher bags/rolls with groove texture only. The following accessories
can be purchased from your specialist shop or directly at Rommelsbacher:
