Information on using batteries
DANGER
Mishandling the batteries can cause fires,
explosions, leakages or other hazards!

Do not throw the batteries into the fire .

Do not short-circuit the batteries .

Do not attempt to recharge the batteries .

Check the condition of the batteries regularly .
Leaking battery acid can cause permanent
damage to the appliance .

Special care should be taken when handling
damaged or leaking batteries . Risk of acid
burns! Wear protective gloves .

Store batteries in a place that is inaccessible to
children . If a battery is swallowed, seek medical
attention IMMEDIATELY .

If you do not intend to use the appliance for
a long time, remove the batteries .
Initial operation

Slide the on/off switch to the "OFF" position .
♦
Unscrew the battery compartment beneath the
device and connect the 9 V block battery .
♦
Insert the battery into the device and screw the
battery compartment closed again .
♦
Then perform a function test . First cover up the
siren with your hand or a cloth to avoid damage to
your hearing .
♦
Move the On/Off switch to "ON" and push down
the metal plate of the door stopper until the alarm
goes off . The alarm can be interrupted at any time
by moving the On/Off switch to the "OFF" position .
NOTE
►
If the red LED illuminates with the switch in the
"ON" position, the battery must be replaced
with a new one of the same type .
