water flowing through the cell and
the 1/18 Volt power has been
switched on, the salt chlorinator
will automatically start to work.
Start the chlorinator on "position
5" and later correct to the required
chlorine output level. Ideal .06 - 1
ppm refer to chlorine test kit.
Important: Gunnite pools or where
Marbalite has been
applied must be started
up with chemicals
first, add no salt for
approximately weeks
before switching over to
the Salt Chlorinator
If you have added more than
100kg of salt and the "add salt"
light is still burning after 24
hours, this is an indication that
the electrode is worn
STEP 1
Checking the salt level
•
To check if the unit is functioning
correctly and if the water contains
enough salt with the pool pump
running, turn the output selector
to 5 (salt check). The "salt OK"
light should be the only one lit.
•
If not, please refer to the fault-
finding table. When the water
temperature drops below 15
(59
F), then the "salt check" is
o
not as accurate.
•
In this case test the pool water
with a salt tester.
•
To extend the life of the electrode,
turn the output selector to
Control panel for the export model
C
o
Check salt and pH levels monthly.
