Note
The following symptoms are due to
the specifications of the camcorder
and are not malfunctions.
• The tape speed of the camcorder may
be different from that set by the VCR
or editing control unit.
• Changing the playback mode of the
DV/DVCAM camcorder may cause
the synchronization to fail, or noise
to occur in the audio when the
camcorder is in variable-speed play
mode.
• Noise in audio or video dropouts
may be observed when playing
damaged or dirty tape.
DV/DVCAM camcorder
settings
Before the start of editing, set the
connected camcorder as follows.
Power switch: Set it to VIDEO or
PLAY.
Video/audio input/output switch:
Set it to OUTPUT (when the
video/audio output connector is
also used as the video/audio input
connector).
