SAFETY MEASURES
RISKS FROM HOT SURFACES
• During use, accessible parts of the appliance heat up enough to
cause burns.
• Do not allow body, clothing, or other objects other than suitable
cookware to contact the glass before the surface cools.
• Metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be
placed on the surface of the cooktop as they can become hot.
• Handles may be hot to the touch. Make sure that they do not hang
over other working cooking zones. Do not allow children to touch
the cookware on the cooktop.
• Failure to follow these guidelines may result in burns.
ATTENTION! The appliance and its accessible parts
become very hot during use.
• Never leave a working appliance unattended.
• Boiling up of liquid, overflow of fat products to the surface
of the appliance may cause smoke or fire.
• Never use the appliance as a surface for work or storage.
• Never leave any objects or cookware on the appliance.
• Never use the appliance as a room heater.
• After use, always turn off the cooktop as described in this manual (i.e.
using the control panel).
• If there is a kitchen drawer under the cooktop, make sure that there is
enough (2 cm) free space between the contents of the drawer and the
bottom of the cooktop. This is necessary to ensure proper ventilation.
