5. Unpacking and set-
ting up
NOTE: when in operation for the first time,
some odour may be generated by the de-
vice. This is harmless. Please ensure ade-
quate ventilation.
1. Remove all packing material.
2. Check to ensure that all parts are pres-
ent and undamaged.
3. Disassemble the device (see "Dismant-
ling the device" on page 13).
4. Clean the device prior to its first
use! (see "Cleaning and servicing the
device" on page 13).
5. Figure B: wind the excess power cable
around the cable spool 24 on the un-
derside of the base unit 19.
6. Place the base unit 19 on a level, dry
and waterproof surface, so that the de-
vice can neither fall nor slip off.
Select a smooth, clean surface, so that
the suction feet 18 can stick firmly in
place and ensure a secure grip.
CAUTION:
Overflowing liquid would flow onto the
surface. You should therefore place the
device on a waterproof surface.
