4 MEASUREMENTS
Whatever the rotary switch positions, the measurement is triggered by pressing the START/STOP
pushbutton: in AUTO mode, the measurement is stopped automatically; in MANUAL mode, the
measurement is stopped by pressing the START/STOP pushbutton again.
Definitions :
Intrinsic error : error on measurement in reference conditions.
Operating error : error on measurement in operating conditions
Reference conditions :
Temperature : 23° C ± 3K
Humidity : 45% at 70% RH
Instrument supply voltage : 10V ± 0.3V
Resistance of auxiliary rods (3P and ρ functions only) : ≤ 1kΩ
Spurious voltages in series mode (3P and ρ functions only) : ≤ 1V
Operating conditions
Temperature : 0° C to 35° C
Humidity : ≤ 80% HR
Device power supply voltage : 9V to 11V
Resistance of auxiliary rods (3P and ρ functions) : ≤ 100 x R
Spurious voltages in series mode (3P and ρ functions only) : ≤ 3V DC and 15Hz...440Hz
4.1 VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT
An voltage across the measurement terminals is measured permanently and can be viewed using the
DISPLAY

key for all the rotary switch positions (except the SET-UP position).

The external voltage is always indicated on the middle display and associated to a frequency (lower
display); the main display (upper display) remains blank. Otherwise, the voltage is a voltage generated
by the instrument or used for the measurements.
The external voltage indication can be associated to the NOISE symbol if its frequency components
can affect the accuracy of the other measurements performed by the instrument.
The maximum differential voltage which can be measured across the terminals is 65 Vrms.
