AVVIAMENTO DEL MOTORE

ATTENZIONE
NON FAR FUNZIONARE IL MOTORE
IN UN LOCALE CHIUSO: I GAS DI
SCARICO SONO TOSSICI.
a. Premere e mantenere premuto il pedale del-
la frizione (30, fig. 6.2).
NOTA
Un dispositivo di sicurezza impedisce l'-
avviamento del motore se il pedale della
frizione non è premuto a fondo.
b. Premere a circa metà corsa il pedale accele-
ratore (25, fig. 6.2).
c. Inserire la chiave d'accensione nel'interrutto-
re (9, fig. 6.1) e ruotarla in senso orario in posi-
zione 1. Sul quadretto segnalatori del cruscotto
controllare che i seguenti segnalatori siano ac-
cesi (fig. 6.1):
– segnalatore candelette di preriscaldo (15);
– segnalatore freno a mano (16);
– segnalatore pressione olio motore (4).
NOTA
La mancata accensione di uno dei se-
gnalatori indicati può essere dovuta a
bruciatura della relativa lampadina. Pri-
ma di effettuare l'avviamento del motore,
si consiglia di procedere alla sostituzione
della lampadina bruciata.

STARTING THE ENGINE

WARNING
DO NOT RUN THE ENGINE IN A CLO-
SED AREA. EXHAUST GAS IS HIGHLY
TOXIC.
a. Depress the clutch pedal (30, fig. 6.2) and
hold it all the way down.
NOTE
A safety interlock prevents the engine
from being started if the clutch pedal is
not depressed all the way down.
b. Depress the accelerator pedal (25, fig. 6.2)
about half-way down.
c. Put the ignition key in the ignition switch (9,
fig. 6.2) and turn it clockwise to position 1.
Check to make sure that the following indicator
lights on the instrument panel are lit (fig. 6.1):
– pre-heater plugs (15)
– handbrake (16)
– engine oil pressure (4)
NOTE
If any of these fail to light, it could be due
to the corresponding lamp burning out.
Before starting the engine, replace any
burnt out lamps.
