doesn't open fully
Valve leaks downstream
(doesn't close or doesn't
close fully)
Valve leaks between
bonnet and valve body
Valve body connection to
piping leaks
Valve body leaks
* see chapter 20 "Sectional drawing and spare parts"
Possible cause

Operating pressure too high
Foreign matter between stamp
seal* and seat
Valve body leaks or is damaged
Stamp seal* faulty
Return flow pressure too low
Bonnet loose
Housing seal* faulty
Valve body / bonnet damaged
Incorrect installation
Threaded connections/flange
bolting loose
Sealing material faulty
Valve body leaks

Fault clearance
Replace the bonnet
Operate valve with operating pressure specified
in datasheet
Remove the bonnet, remove the foreign matter,
check the stamp seal for potential damage and
replace it if necessary
Check valve body and replace if necessary
Check the stamp seal for potential damage and
replace it if necessary
Comply with the minimum pressure for drip-tight
drainage
Tighten the bonnet
Check the housing seal and associated sealing
surfaces for potential damage and replace parts
if necessary
Replace valve body / bonnet
Check installation of valve body in piping
Tighten threaded connections/flange bolting
Replace sealing material
Check valve body for damage, replace valve
body if necessary
