INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Remove stones, loose pieces
of wood and other objects
from the cutting area.
The cutting line continues to rotate for a few
seconds after the trimmer is switched off.
Allow the motor/cutting line to stop rotating
before switching "on" again.
Do not rapidly switch off and on.

Connect the appliance to a suitable extension
cord.
_
Hook the extension cord behind the clamp.
_
Hold the appliance with both hands.
_
Slowly move the appliance back and forth.
_
When working long grass proceed layer
for layer.
_
Keep the appliance away from hard
objects and plants.
_
Only use the appliance for working dry
grass.
_
When edging, guide the appliance over
the edge guide along the grass edge.
_
The appliance will automatically feed the
cutting line during use.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF

To switch the appliance on, press the
on/off switch (1).

To switch the appliance off, release the
on/off switch (1).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

SERVICE DEPARTMENT
_ Damaged switches must be replaced by our after-
sales service department.
_ If the connecting cable (or mains plug) is
damaged, it must be replaced by a particular
connecting cable which is available from our service
department. Replacement of the
connecting cable must only be carried out by our
service department (see last page) or by

Warning! Before performing any maintenance on
corded/cordless power tools:
u Switch off and unplug the appliance/tool.
u Or switch off and remove the battery from the
appliance/tool if the appliance/tool has a separate
battery pack.
u Or run the battery down completely if it is integral
and then switch off.
u Unplug the charger before cleaning it. Your
charger does not require any maintenance apart
from regular cleaning.
u Regularly clean the ventilation slots in your
tool/appliance and charger using a soft brush or
dry cloth.
u Regularly clean the motor housing using a damp
cloth. Do not use any abrasive or solvent-based
cleaner.
u Regularly clean the cutting line and spool using a
soft brush or dry cloth.
u Regularly use a blunt scraper to remove grass
and dirt from the underneath of the guard.
