Hold the machine firmly with both hands while
working and provide for secure footing. The ma-
chine is more securely guided with both hands.
Secure the work piece. A work piece clamped with
clamping devices or in a vice is held more securely
than by hand.
Do not work with materials containing asbestos.
Asbestos is considered carcinogenic.
Take protective measures when dust can devel-
op during working that is harmful to one's health,
combustible or explosive. Example: Some dusts
are regarded as carcinogenic. Wear a dust mask and
work with dust/chip extraction when connectable.
Keep your workplace clean. Material mixtures are
especially dangerous. Light metal dust can burn or ex-
plode.
Wait until the machine has come to a standstill
before placing it down. The insertion tool can be-
come caught and lead to loss of control over the ma-
chine.
Before all work on the machine itself (e.g., main-
tenance, tool replacement, etc.) as well as when
it is being transported or stored, place the direc-
tion of rotation switch in the middle position. For
unintentional actuating of the on/off switch, the danger
of injury exists.
Do not open the battery. The danger of a short cir-
cuit exists.
Read all instructions. Failure to fol-
low all instructions listed below may re-
sult in electric shock, fire and/or serious
injury.

closed or included in the middle of these operating in-
structions must be observed.

1 SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES

Protect the battery from heat, for example, also
the continuous exposure to sun radiation and
fire. The danger of explosion exists.
Do not short-circuit the battery. The danger of ex-
plosion exists.
In case of damage to and/or improper handling
of the battery, vapours may be emitted. Provide
for fresh air and consult a Doctor if breathing dis-
comfort occurs. The vapours can irritate the respi-
ratory tract.
Wear hearing protection. The noise can cause loss
of hearing.
Always use the auxiliary handle provided with the
machine. The loss of control over the machine can re-
sult in injuries.
Use appropriate detectors to determine if utility
lines are hidden in the work area or call the local
utility company for assistance. Contacting electric
lines may cause fire or electric shock. Striking a gas
line may result in explosion. Breaking into a water pipe
will cause property damage.
Overload Clutch
If the insertion tool becomes caught or jammed, the
drive to the drill spindle is interrupted. As a result of the
forces that occur, always hold the machine firmly
with both hands and provide for secure footing.
2 FUNCTION

Intended Use

The machine is intended for hammer drilling in con-
crete, brick and stone as well as for light chiselling
work. It is also suitable for drilling without impact in
wood, metal, ceramic and plastic.
Machines with electronic control and right/left rotation
are also suitable for screw driving and thread cutting.
