4.4

Setting alarms (mains operation only)

Alarms can be switched on or off in standby mode. However, the alarm parameters can only be

set when the appliance is on.
Switch on the appliance (
„
To set or change alarm 1, press ALARM / SNOOZE button once, then press the SELECT
„
button.
To set or change alarm 2, press the ALARM / SNOOZE button twice, then press the SELECT
„
button.
To exit alarm setting mode, press the ALARM / SNOOZE button again.
„
The alarm setup prompts you for the following parameters. Select a value for each parameter in
„
rotating the SCROLL control and press the SELECT button to confirm and move on to the next
parameter.
Parameters:
„
– On time - hours and minutes
– Duration -
The alarm will continue ring during the selected period if leave it idle, and it will switch to standby
mode afterwards.
– Source - Buzzer / DAB / FM
If DAB or FM is chosen as the audio source you will also be prompted to select the last played
station or one of the preset station (if any set).
– Daily / Once / Weekends / Weekdays
Choose the days on which the alarm is active.
Note: if you choose Once, you are prompted to enter the required date.
– In standby mode, active alarms are indicated by displaying the relevant Alarm icons in the
display.
– At the set time, the alarm will sound, quietly at first, then gradually building up to the set volume.
4.4.1 To turn alarms on or off in standby mode
Press the ALARM / SNOOZE button, the display shows the current alarm status.

Press the ALARM / SNOOZE button repeatedly to choose one of four alarm settings.

Confirm chosen alarm setting by pressing the SELECT button.

4.4.2 Snooze (mains operation only)

To temporarily silence a sounding alarm, press the ALARM / SNOOZE button once, you can

change the snooze period by repeatedly pressing the ALARM / SNOOZE button, snooze
periods are 5/10/15/30 minutes. The radio returns to standby for the set time period with snooze
countdown displayed. When the countdown reaches 0 (zero) the alarm will be triggered again.

Sleep Timer

In operation mode

Press SLEEP button repeatedly to choose the sleep time from Sleep off/10/20/30/60/70/80/90
minutes.
Confirm selection with SELECT button.

After the selected time elapsed the radio will switch into standby mode.

To check the sleep interval remaining, press the SLEEP button and the interval remaining will be
„
shown in the display.
To cancel the sleep timer, press the SLEEP button repeatedly until Sleep off appears in the
„
display, then press SELECT button to confirm.
4.6

Earphones (not supplied)

You can connect earphones with a 3.5 mm plug to the radio, plug in the earphones into the
„
earphone socket (17) on the backside of the radio.
Adjust a pleasant sound volume, the radio speakers will be muted as long as earphones are
„
connected.
Warning! Ensure that children don't adjust the sound volume too high.
„
Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss.
