To remove (only when not using the brush cutter
attachment), rotate the barrier bar counter-
clockwise until free from the bolt Place the
barrier bar in a safe location where you can
easily find it again
Slide the front handle to the desired location
Position the red knob on the left side of the front
handle, aligning the bolt in the front handle to the
threaded hole in the red knob Rotate the red knob
clockwise on the threaded bolt until the knob is
secure and tight against the handle If the handle
can rotate or slide, the knob needs additional
tightening Check the knob and handle periodically
during use to ensure tightness and position

This powerhead may be used with only Oregon

The attachment connects to the powerhead with a
coupler device
• Stop the motor and remove the battery pack
• Loosen the knob of the coupler on the
powerhead tube and remove the end cap from
the attachment
• Press the button located on the attachment
shaft Align the button with the guide recess on
the powerhead coupler and slide the attachment
shaft into the powerhead Rotate the attachment
shaft until the button locks into position
NOTE: If the button does not release completely
in the positioning hole, the shafts are not locked
into place Slightly rotate from side to side until
the button is locked

Unpacking and Assembly
• Tighten the knob securely
WARNING: Make certain the device is fully
tightened before operating equipment; check
it periodically for tightness during use to

Do not use a string trimmer head with this
brush cutter attachment.

engage the transportation lockout
• Loosen the knob
• Push in the button and twist the shafts to
remove and separate the shaft

• Put on shoulder strap
• Adjust length of strap The carabiner should be
about a hand's width below operator's right hip
• Detach harness by pressing down on the
carabiner bar and pull the harness loop out of
the carabiner
