Operation

 Press and hold the ON/OFF switch (1) in order to activate the grinding unit
and to switch on the built-in LED (6).
Set the required grinding size by turning the screw (7):

clockwise
counter clockwise
If the grinding unit does not turn when set to a very fine setting, you will have

to select a coarser setting. If the grinding unit still does not turn, it may be
blocked. Select the coarsest setting and shake the pepper mill back and forth
until the grinding unit operates again.
 If the grinding unit fails to turn frequently even at coarse setting or if it only
turns very slowly, the batteries are spent. In this case, replace the 4 batteries
with a complete new set. Do not mix rechargeable batteries with non-
rechargeable batteries or new ones with spent batteries.

Cleaning

 Clean the container directly before you intend to fill it with new pepper or salt.
First shake the container empty and remove any residue with a small, non-
food contaminating brush. Do not wash the container with water or any other
liquid.
Only use a lightly moistened cloth to clean the outside housing.

 Do not immerse the pepper mill in water or any other fluids.
 Do not use any aggressive detergents or similar for cleaning.
 Do not use any metallic or sharp tools as this could damage the surfaces of
the unit.
