2 Safety

2.1

Proper use

The service cartridge is designed exclusively for temporary commercial use in PURITY C filter
systems for cleaning and disinfecting connected terminal devices. The system's cartridge cup
and cartridge lid are designed for a service life of up to two years (from the first installation date)
if installed and used properly in adherence with the operating conditions stipulated in this
manual. A replacement must be made once two years have elapsed and/or after a maximum of
250 uses. Connection hoses must be replaced at the latest after five years.
Proper use includes adherence to all the information in this manual.
Any use going beyond proper use or any other type of use is considered improper use.
CAUTION!
Danger due to improper use.
Improper use can cause dangerous situations and material damage.
In particular, the following is prohibited:
– Use of the service cartridge with other filter systems.
– Use of unsuitable cleaning agent (
– Use of the service cartridge for water filtration.
– Use of the service cartridge for longer than the specified service life (

2.2

Staff requirements

All work must only be performed by the specialist staff described here.
Service technician
The service technician is able to carry out the work described here and identify potential dangers
independently and prevent hazards because of his specialist qualification, knowledge and experi-
ence and knowledge of the valid standards and regulations.
2.3

Basic hazards

Depending on the type used, cleaning agents may be a health hazard.
