General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it. Any damage that may
occur will most probably be due to unprofessional use of the device.
Use the original packaging if the device is to be transported.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
Only use the device for its intended purpose. All other uses may lead to short circuits, burns,
electroshocks, crash, etc. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

Opening the Safe with the Override Keys
For your convenience we have engineered a manual override system in case you forget or misplace your
code combination. Also, the safe should be opened with these keys at first use.
1.
Remove the small plate below the knob.
2.
Insert the key into the keyhole and turn it in a clockwise direction.
3.
Turn the knob towards the right.
WARNING: Stock your override keys in a safe place. Do not keep them in the safe!

Batteries
Remark: The batteries are in a sealed plastic bag, which is fixed to the inside of the safe
with adhesive tape.
WARNING: If the batteries are low, the red indicator will warn you immediately. Test the
batteries by entering your code combination. Open the door. If the batteries are low, the
red indicator will light. The indicator will not light if the batteries are in order.
Installing/Replacing the Batteries
1.
Open the safe and push the battery cover on the back of the door.
2.
Install the new batteries or take out the old batteries and replace them with four AA (1.5 V, R06)
alkaline batteries.
3.
Programme or re-programme the code (see Programming the Code).
