7.3 2-Point-Calibration

In addition to the 1-point-calibration a second measuring point is calibrated using a test gas. The O2
concentration of the test gas should correspond to the O2 concentration of the sample gas.
Carry out 1-point-calibration with instrument air.
Supply test gas of known O2 concentration with a primary pressure of approx. 0.1 bar (1.5 psi).
Wait for at least 5 minutes until a stable measuring value is reached. The displayed value should lie
around the concentration of the test gas.
Select menu item "calibration point 2" (CAL2). (For operating and selecting menu items oft the
BA 2000 see chapter 8).
Set the concentration of the test gas and confirm the value with j.
Note: If a value of 0.0 Vol.-% O
point-calibration.
Quit the menu with E. The display shows the concentration of the test gas.

8 Operation

8.1 Function of the ZrO -Sensor

If the sensor is demounted, the sensor tube may reach a temperature up to
700°C (1290°F).
The sensor controller regulates the sensor heating to a temperature of 700°C (1290°F). The mV-signal output
of the internal electronic is converted to a linear 4-20 mA-signal output (0 ... 21 Vol.-% O
20 mA).
During warm-up (approx. 1 hour) the display shows alternating "init" and the temperature of the sensor
heating. If operation temperature is reached, the oxygen concentration is shown instead of the temperature.
During warm-up, the mA-signal output is 0 mA. The actual mA-value is available not until the operating
temperature of the measuring cell has been reached. After warm-up the oxygen temperature is shown
permanently.
For monitoring the temperature of the sensor is displayed, if a deviation of more than ± 1.5 K occurs.
