9. Cleaning

DANGER!
Before cleaning the device, pull the
mains plug 5 out of the wall socket and
allow the base station 2 and the curl-
ers 6/9 to cool down.
Protect the device from moisture, water
drops and water splashes.
The device, the cable and the mains
plug must not be immersed in water or
any other liquids.
Never use petrol, spirit alcohol or other
flammable cleaning agents.
WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
Do not use any sharp or abrasive clean-
ing agents.
• Remove loose hair and fluff from the
curlers 6/9 and the clips 7/8 after
every use.
• The following parts should occasionally
be wiped down with a damp cloth:
- the housing of the base station 2,
- the lid 1,
- the cool-touch surfaces 10 of the
curlers 6/9,
- the clips 7/8.
• Allow all parts to dry completely before
you use the device again.
NOTE: curlers 6/9 and clips 7/8 can be
reordered (see "Ordering accessories" on
page 30).

10. Storage

DANGER!
Keep the device out of the reach of chil-
dren.
1. Pull out the mains plug 5.
2. Allow the base station 2 and the curl-
ers 6/9 to cool down.
3. Clean the device.
4. Wind the power cable 5 around the
cable spool 4.
5. Place the curlers 6/9 with the clips 7/8
into the base station 2.
6. Replace the lid 1.
7. Store the device in a location where it
is protected against dust and moisture,
and where it is not exposed to extreme
temperatures.

11. Disposal

This product is subject to the
provisions of European Direc-
tive 2012/19/EC. The sym-
bol showing a wheelie bin
crossed through indicates
that the product requires sep-
arate refuse collection in the European Un-
ion. This applies to the product and all
accessories marked with this symbol. Prod-
ucts identified with this symbol may not be
discarded with normal household waste, but
must be taken to a collection point for recy-
cling electric and electronic appliances. Re-
cycling helps to reduce the consumption of
raw materials and protect the environment.

Packaging

When disposing of the packaging, make
sure you comply with the environmental reg-
ulations applicable in your country.
