OPERATION WITH AN ELECTRIC DRILL

It is essential that you remove the crank
handle (1) before connecting the drain
cleaner to an electric drill using the hex
adapter (2).
- Pull the cleaning cable (3) out of the plastic
housing (5) and insert it into the pipe until
the tip reaches the blockage (resistance).
Now tighten the cable fixing wheel (4), while
leaving a 30 cm length of cleaning cable
between the the pipe opening and the cable
fixing wheel. This allows the tip of the cable
to move down the pipe and clear the
blockage whilst preventing the cable kinking
or becoming twisted.
- Slide your electric drill's chuck over the hex
adapter (2) and tighten the chuck.
- Hold the handle (6) firmly and set the drill's
direction of rotation to 'forward' and lightly
pull the drill's trigger. Start the job at low speed,
increasing the speed if the blockage requires.
- Once the cable fixing wheel reaches the pipe
opening stop feeding the cable, release the
cable fixing wheel and pull a further 30 cm
length of cleaning cable from the plastic
housing. Subsequently re-tighten the cable
fixing wheel. Repeat the above procedure until
the blockage is cleared.
- Once the pipe is clear, retrieve the cleaning
cable from the pipe. Clean the cable and slide
it back into the plastic housing.
Be sure to disconnect your electric drill from the drain cleaner's hex adapter before recoiling
the cleaning cable into the plastic housing.
