Proper use

❐ The device is intended for frying, grilling and for preparing au gratin dishes.
❐ The device is not intended to be operated with an external timer or a separate telecontrol
system.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial, use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.
Incorrect operation and improper handling may cause the device to malfunction and result
in injury to the user.
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and / or knowledge if they are
supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the device and have understood the
risks associated with operating the device. Children may not play with the device. Children
may not clean or perform user maintenance of the device unless they are 8 years of age or
older and are supervised.

For your health

❐ The device and accessories may have residues from production. To avoid health risks, clean
the ceramic plate as well as the raclette and wok pans thoroughly before first use (see
chapter "Cleaning") and heat up the device for 15 minutes without food (see chapter "Prior
to first use").
❐ Clean the device and the accessories after every use.
❐ Only prepare food that is suitable for cooking and consumption.

Finding the right location for the device

❐ Only use the device in closed spaces.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant surface with adequate space
on all sides.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to other heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to
prevent damage to the device.
❐ To prevent electrical shocks, set up the device so that there is no risk of it, the cord or
plug coming into contact with water or other liquids. If the device falls in water, immediately
disconnect the power supply.
❐ The device should never be set up and used when highly flammable materials are nearby
(curtains, textiles, etc.).
❐ Never use the device on a stove top or if a gas source is nearby.
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains voltage
must correspond to the technical data of the device. Only use proper extension cords,
whose technical data correspond to those of the device.
