Electrical installation
The sensor channels 1 to 4 can be individually enabled or
disabled. The sensor selector switch is under the yellow front panel
(cf. Fig. 5).
If a further sensor is to be connected and evaluated in addition to
sensor channel 5 and 6 (e.g. sensor channel 1), then sensor
channel 1 must be set to OFF and the remaining channels (2, 3
and 4) to ON (cf. Fig. 6).
3.3
Outputs
The evaluation unit has 5 relay outputs:
3 immediately (as per the response times, cf. ready delay time and
release delay in chapter 5 "Technical specifications") switching
safety outputs (N/O contacts) 13/14, 23/24 and 33/34
1 immediately switching signal output (N/C contact) 41/42
1 delayed release safety output (N/O contact) 57/58
Protect all output circuits (cf. Fig. 5 and chapter 5 "Technical
specifications").
Auxiliary contacts 41/42 are not allowed to be used as safety
contacts.
To ensure that safety is maintained, at least the two safety-relevant
output signal switching devices (relay outputs) 13/14 and 23/24
must be evaluated. The evaluation must be performed separately.
3.3.1
Delayed output
When the evaluation unit is enabled (all sensors in the response
range, enable from external device monitoring [EDM] and reset
button) 57/58 is closed without delay.
On STOP (e.g. a door is opened) the N/O contact 57/58 only opens
after a set time has elapsed.
3.3.2
Delay time
The delay time for the delayed release output (N/O contact) can be
adjusted between 0.6 s and 30 s using the potentiometer. As
supplied the delay time is set to 0.6 s.
The delay time starts after the protective device is opened. The
safety-relevant outputs (13/14, 23/24 and 33/34) can only be
enabled again (closed) when the time set has elapsed. The delay time
cannot be interrupted prematurely.
If the evaluation unit detects that a protective device has closed
again during the delay time, first the time set must have elapsed and
then one of the protective devices connected to the evaluation unit
