Programmable Functions of the Microphone Units with the MCW-D 200 Editor Software
The functions of the microphone units described in the following are only available, when they have been programmed with the
MCW-D 200 Editor software before. Please refer to the corresponding manual MCW-D 200 Editor Software.
6.1
Safety Code
Using the MCW-D 200 Editor software a safety code can be entered for the MCW-D microphone units and the MCW-D 200 control unit within
one system. This will increase the safety against unauthorised listening. For a detailed description please refer to the appropriate manual.
6.2
Auto-Off-Function
The delegate microphone units have a power saving auto-off function, i.e. if no-one speaks into the microphone for more than 20 seconds,
the microphone unit switches off automatically. The auto-off-function has been deactivated at the factory. The response threshold and the time
after which the microphone switches off (hold time) can be adjusted with a PC using the MCW-D 200 Editor software. The illuminated ring of
the gooseneck microphone will flash 5 seconds before the microphone unit is switched off.

Depending on the configuration the following functions are possible with the
function button (10): mute, clear or priority. The function button can be configured
with the control unit and the MCW-D 200 Editor software.
1. Priority
All delegate microphone units will be cleared and the microphone of the
chairman unit will be switched on. The delegates can switch on their micro-
phones again.
2. Mute
All delegate microphone units which were activated before, will be muted
when the chairman is speaking and will be re-activated when the chairman
switches off his microphone.
3. Clear
All delegate microphone units are cleared and cannot switch on their
microphone as long as the chairman is speaking.
4. Next Function
Next function to allocate the next microphone unit which is in the internal
request-to-speak queue.
5. How to mute an external AUX-IN port
First push mutes the port, the next one enables it, third one mutes again
etc.
6. Muting of balanced Aux-In port & clear all active delegates, pushing prior
button a second time will release AUX-In muting.
7. How to mute an external AUX-OUT port
First push mutes the port, the next one enables it, third one mutes again
etc.
8. "COM Message Only" Function
A command is sent via the RS 232 serial interface from the MCW-D 200
control unit and a programmed function is carried out via a media control
system for instance (e.g. light control).
For the other functions there is also a command sent via the RS 232 serial
interface from the MCW-D 200 control unit.
9. Custom
Two different commands according to the duration of the push
< 1 second = command "Short press string" is transmitted
> 1 second = command "Long press string" is transmitted
