Using the Key-Type Drill Chuck
You can use the pneumatic impact drill also for conventional drills with
cylindrical shank.
1. Act as described before in chapter "Inserting the tools". Use a key-type
drill chuck instead of a drill.
2. Open the key-type drill chuck by turning until the tool can be inserted.
Insert the tool.
3. Secure the drill chuck manually so that the drill cannot any more get out of
place.
4. Insert the chuck key into the corresponding holes of the key type drill
chuck and clamp the tool uniformly.
Reversing the Rotation Direction
The rotating direction switch (5) may only be manipulated while the motor is
not running. Because of this it is blocked while the ON/OFF switch (6) is
pressed.
The clockwise rotation is for drilling, impact drilling and tightening screws. Set
the rotating direction switch to the left hand.
The counter clockwise rotation is for loosening screws. Set the rotating
direction switch to the right hand side.
Turning ON/OFF
To switch on the machine, press the ON/OFF switch (6). To stop it, release the
ON/OFF button.
Speed Regulation
Light pressure on the ON/OFF switch (6) will cause the machine to run slowly
and provides a slow, soft start. Always select a rotation speed, at which the
machine will not come to a halt due to overload.
On the ON/OFF switch (6) there you will find a rotating disc.
1. When you move the disc towards – you cannot press the ON/OFF switch
to its max. depth. The unit runs with lower drive.
2. Moving the disc towards + the unit runs with higher drive and the ON/OFF
switch is pushed through.
The required rotation speed depends on the material which is to be drilled and
the tool you use. It is the easiest way to find the best speed with a practical
test. Only in the impact function the highest possible speed should be used.
