5. If a program is transmitted in stereo, the indication
switch to mono operation (indication MONO).
6. By pressing the button A/PS all stations that have been stored are successively played for 10 seconds.
To deactivate the function, press the button A/PS again.
7. The button LOC activates the local program mode (indication LOCAL). Then the tuner automatically
changes to a station with the same local program which can be received best. To deactivate the function,
press the button LOC again.
8. With the button DISP the indication on the display can be switched to operating hours.
9. To reset the tuner to default settings, press the button RESET. All personal settings will be deleted and
the tuner is switched off.
7.2.2 Volume and tone adjustments
1. By turning the control SEL the volume can be adjusted. With increased volume the display will show
more bars.
2. By pressing the control SEL several tone adjustment items can be selected: BAS (bass), TREB (treble),
BAL (balance), FAD (fader). By turning the control you can set the desired value.
3. With the button LOUD you can select among four equalizer settings: Flat, Classics, Pop M, Rock M, DSP
OFF (equalizer off).
4. For muting the sound of the tuner press the button MUTE (indication MUTE is flashing). To switch on the
sound again, press the button MUTE once again.
7.3 CD player
Switch to CD player operation with the button MODE. It is possible to play audio CDs/-Rs/-RWs (CD-DA) as
well as CDs with titles in the MP3 format.
7.3.1 Playing CDs
1. Slide in a CD with the lettering facing upwards so far into the slot until it is retracted automatically. The
display indicates LOAD, PLAY, and MP3 DISC for MP3 CDs.
2. The playback of the first title starts automatically. The display indicates the elapsed time of the current
title in minutes and seconds. For MP3 CDs the display will additionally show scrolling text information:
file name, directory name, bit rate, title, artist, album. With the button BAND the text information can be
also be called.
3. With the button DISP the indication on the display can be switched to operating hours.
4. Playback can be interrupted at any time with the button
5. For ejecting a CD press the button . The display will show EJECT and the unit switches to tuner
operation.
7.3.2 Selecting a title
