Start-up
Please clean all the parts as described in the section "Cleaning and Care" before these come into
contact with food.
▪ Carefully remove the protective cover from the stainless steel blade (4) and place the stainless steel
blade (4) into the slot at the bottom of the container (5). If necessary, twist the stainless blade (4)
slightly until it slides downwards.
Caution: The blade is sharp. For this reason, always attach the protective cover when not working
with the blade.
▪ Insert the food, cover the container (5) with the splash guard (3). Insert the food into the con-
tainer (5) but not past the MAX mark.
▪ Attach the drive unit (2) and turn this until it locks into the splash guard (3).
After inserting the mains plug, press down the desired start button (1) several times in short bursts
until the desired results are achieved.
▪ You must wait until the stainless steel blade (4) has come to a standstill before removing the
protective cover (3).
Safety function
The processor's motor will only start when the drive unit (2) is correctly fitted. Do not remove the drive
unit (2) while the device is operating.
Cleaning and Care
Remove the mains plug after use. Never immerse the drive unit (2) in water, simply wipe it with a
damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents. Take care when cleaning that you do not injure
yourself on the sharp blade (4). Food residues could get into the blade slot. Remove this after each use.

▪ This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to BS 1363 fitted to the mains lead. If the
plug is unsuitable for your socket outlets or needs to be replaced, please note the following. If the
plug is a non-rewireable one, cut it from the mains lead and immediately dispose of it. Never insert
it into a socket outlet as there is a very great risk of an electric shock.
▪ The replacement of the plug at the mains lead has to be done according to the following instruc-
tions:

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:

the wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black,

the wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal which is marked with
the letter L or coloured red.
Do not connect any wire to the terminal which is marked
with the letter E or by the earth symbol

▪ If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be fitted with a 3 A fuse conforming to BS 1362 and be
ASTA approved. If any other type of plug is used, the appliance must be protected by a 5 A fuse
either in the plug or adapter or at the distribution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
▪ Never use the plug without closing the fuse cover.
The device complies with the European Directives 2014/35/EG, 2014/30/EG and
2009/125/EG.
The conformity according to EN60335 clause 11 was verified by using the

After use, let cool down appliance to room temperature.
At the end of its service life, this product may not be disposed of in the normal
household waste, but rather must be disposed of at a collection point for recy-
cling electrical and electronic devices. The materials are recyclable according to
their labelling. You make an important contribution to protecting our environ-
ment by reusing, recycling or utilising old devices in other ways. Please ask the
municipal administration where the appropriate disposal facility is located.
