Although your receiver receives the signals digitally it has to convert them
first to analogue signals for traditional hi-fi systems. This may reduce the
quality slightly.
You can avoid this loss if you use the digital output S/PDIF on the receiver
e.g. for an amplifier or a Dolby Surround Decoder.
Connect the "S/PDIF" output to the digital input on your amplifier or
Dolby Surround system using an appropriate cable.

Connecting a USB device

You can connect a USB device to play images or audio files from this
device.
Insert the plug of a USB cable or device into the USB slot.
If necessary connect the other socket with the external USB device.
