2.4 Example of a name plate

A name plate with the following information is affixed on the encoder:
• Type description/Order code
• Interface code (only for absolute encoders)
• Serial number
• Manufacturer and address
• Supply voltage
• Current consumption
• IP protection class
• Danger pictogram
• Observe operating manual pictogram
• CE mark
• Signal/Terminal assignment/Wire colour
• Ex protection class (only for Atex encoders)
• Operating temperature range (only for Atex encoders)



A packaging label with the following information is affixed on the packaging of the encoder:
• Encoder type
• Order code
• Packaging unit
• Date of manufacture

• Country of manufacture








