Switching on and off
1. Insert the plug in the socket. The pump
starts working immediately.
The pump immediately starts running
when the swimming switch is in the
correct position (see „Automatic opera-
tion" and „Manual operation").
2. To switch off, withdraw the plug from
the socket. The pump stops.
If the water level is too low, the
float switch will automatically
switch off the pump.
Supervise the appliance while it is
in operation in order to be immedi-
ately aware if the automatic cut-out
operates or the pump runs dry, to
limit any damage to a minimum.
Automatic mode
In automatic mode, the float switch (5) au-
tomatically switches the pump on or off.
In the case of stationary installa-
tion, check regularly (no less then
once every three months) that the
float switch (5) is working.
The On/Off switch point of the float switch
(5) is infinitely variable:
You can vary the switch-on and switch-off
point by:
- selecting one of the two notches on the
handle (1).
- varying the length of the float switch ca-
ble (7). Push/pull the cable (7) through
the eye on the retaining clip (6) for this.
Check the float switch (5).
- It must be positioned so that it
can lift and lower freely. The
switching point heights "On"
and "Off" must be easy to
reach.
Check this by placing the pump
into a vessel filled with water
and lift the float switch (5) care-
fully by hand and then lower it
again. In this case, you can see
whether the pump switches on
and off.
- Make sure that the distance
between the float switch (5) and
float switch retaining clip (6) is
not too small. In the case of a
separation distance which is too
small, trouble-free functioning
cannot be guaranteed.
- During the adjustment of the float
switch (5), ensure that the float
switch does not contact the floor
before the pump switches off.
There is a risk of dry running if the
float switch cable (7) is chosen too
long, in particular if the float switch
retaining clip (6) is not clipped in
(see "Initial start-up").
Manual mode/flat
suction
Caution: Avoid dry running
of the pump! Danger of over-
heating!
Never touch an overheated
pump! There is a danger of
burns!
In manual mode, the pump does not switch
off automatically, as the float switch (5) is
bypassed.
