Addressing
The figure below illustrates how BACnet addressing is presented E tool.
BACnet/IP = Activation status of the BACnet/IP protocol.
Name of the BACnet device = the name of the device.
The ID of the device is divided into two parts: one low and one high. For example: If the high part of the ID is "1", the
device ID would be "00012640".
Low ID of the BACnet device = the lower part of the device identification.
High ID of the BACnet device (x 10000) = the higher part of the device identification.
The port number is divided into two parts: on low and one high For example: In the illustration above, the port number is
"47808".
Low BACnet/IP FIDP port number = port number, low part.
High BACnet/IP FIDP port number (x 10000) = port number, high part. This is the designated port for communication.
BBMD address = Address of the BACnet transmission control device. This is used for internet communication between
devices with BACnet.
