5.16.10.2 The instrument should be opened up for the calibration of other indexes. If it is needed,

5.17 Function of system
The function of system is mainly used to set the working state, programmable interface and memory function
of the system.
Press the key of System to enter into the setting of system. Now the display contents of the main menu and
the secondary menu will not change and the number keys do not work. The function of system can be settled
by the knob or the key of < or >.
5.17.1 Working state of system
5.17.1.1 Setting of buzzer: Press the key of Buzzer and select "buzzer". Press the key of < or >, or rotate
the knob to inversely light "on" or "off". The buzzer will be on or off correspondingly.
5.17.1.2 Setting of external scalar frequency: Press the key of EXT-STD and select "external scalar
frequency". Press the key of < or >, or rotate the knob to inversely light "on" or "off". The external scalar
frequency will be on or off correspondingly. Only for the instrument selecting the function of external
scalar frequency and it is linked, this menu can be settled to be on. If it is not linked, the menu
should be set to be off. Otherwise, the output frequency will be incorrect.
5.17.1.3 Setting of start-up state: Press the key of Power On and select "start-up state". Press the key of <
or >, or rotate the knob to inversely light "default" or "before closed" in the main display area. Select the state
of default or the state before closed. There are two start-up states. One is the default state and the other is
the start before closed. The state of "default" means that entering into the menu of "Tone" when start-
up. The parameters are set to be default parameters. The state of "Memory 1" means that entering
into the menu stored in "Memory 1". The parameters are set to be those "Memory 1". The
recoverable menus when start-up include "Tone", "AM/FM", "keying", "Sweep", "Burst" and
"Count", which are valid menus.
5.17.2 Programmable interface
5.17.2.1 Programmable mode: Press the key of Remote Port and select "programmable mode". Press the
key of < or >, or rotate the knob to select the corresponding mode.
5.17.2.2 Programmable address: Press the key of Remote Address and select "programmable address".
Rotate the knob to set the programmable address. As the programmable address is settled, it will be kept
until it is re-modified.
5.17.2.3 Entering into programmable state: Press the key of Remote On to enter into the programmable
state. Return to local in the programmable state. The programmable command (BACK) can be used to
return, or by the knob. At the moment, there is a long buzzer.
The detailed description of the programmable interfaces can be read in chapter 4.
5.17.3 Memory function
In the application, some settings are often used. Repeated setting will be very trouble. So the functions of
saving and recalling will be very convenient. Ten memory locations can be used to save the working state of
channel A and channel B. Recall when it is necessary.
5.17.3.1 Memory location: Press the key of Memory Number and select "memory location". Rotate the knob
to select the number of memory location.
5.17.3.2 Save: Press the key of Store and save the working state of the instrument into the corresponding
location number. The instrument will display "Settings saved to memory". One second later, "Settings saved
to memory" will disappear.
5.17.3.3 Recall: After the memory location number is selected, press the key of Recall and recall the
memorized data from the memory location. And the corresponding working state of the instrument can be
settled.
