Stick double-sided adhesive rubber pad onto the assembly of the holder. This pad ser-
ves as gasket and lacquer protection (see I 5).
Screw on monitor holder with the thread screws M 4 x 20 mm or longer thread screws,
depending upon construction strength.
Necessary parts for the attachment with thread screws
see I 5 and I 6.
Execution of the breakthrough for the connecting cable of the camera
Observe the information on the cable-laying.
For laying the connecting cables, whenever possible always use existing cable
passageways or other apertures as e.g. ventilation grids. If no openings are
available, then a hole of Ø 13 mm must be drilled. Check before whether
sufficient free space for the drill outlet is present.
Drill a hole of Ø 13 mm nearby the camera (see I 7).
Debur all drill holes which are made in the sheet metal and provide with rust
protection.
Provide all sharp-edged openings with a bushing.
Attachment of the camera in the camera holder
Insert the camera into the camera holder (see I 10) and align in such a way that the
objective forms an angle of approx. 50° (see I14) to the vertical axle of the vehicle.
Fasten the camera (see I 9) loosely with the screws M 3 x 6 mm. The screws are
tightened as soon as the alignment of the camera has taken place by means of the
monitor.
In order to minimize the corrosion of the screws, it is recommendable to grease the thre-
ads.
Necessary parts for the attachment of the camera see I 8 to I 11.
Attaching the camera protection to the camera
Never mount the camera without the additional protecting cap. Use only the
screws M 3 x 8 mm (see I 13) for the assembly of the camera protection.
Longer screws damage the camera.
Push the protecting cap/sun shield (see I 8) in such a way over the camera that its
oblong holes are congruent with those of the holder. You can now see both drill holes
for fastening/fixing the protecting cap/sun shield and the holder (see I 15).
Tighten the 4 screws after alignment of the camera (see I 12).
Necessary parts for the attachment of the camera protection
see I 12 to I 15.
