6.1
Setting the cutting height (10)
CAUTION!
Danger of lacerations
Danger of lacerations when reaching in-
to the running mower mechanism.
■
Only adjust the cutting height when
the motor is switched off and the
mower mechanism is stationary.
1. Press the release lever (10/1) outwards
slightly (10/a) and hold it.
■
For short grass, push the lever towards
the front wheel (10/b), minimum level 1:
3 cm
■
For longer grass, push the lever towards
the rear wheel (10/c), maximum level 6:
7.5 cm
2. Release the lever until it engages at the re-
quired level.
6.2
Starting and stopping the motor (11)
IMPORTANT!
Danger of damage to the appliance
The motor and blade system can be
damaged by consecutively switching on
and off briefly several times.
■
Only switch the motor on when the
mower mechanism has stopped.
Starting the motor
1. Press the start button (11/1) and hold (11/a).
2. Pull the operator presence control (11/2) to-
wards the handlebar (11/3) (11/b). Starting
the motor and mower mechanism.
3. Release the start button (11/1) and hold the
operator presence control (11/2).
NOTE
The operator presence control does not
lock in place. Hold it tight against the
handlebar during the entire working peri-
od.
Stopping the engine
1. Release the operator presence control (11/2).
It automatically moves to its initial position.
The motor stops immediately. The mower mech-
anism keeps running until it stops.

reaching into the mower mechanism
while it is running on.

Wait until the mower mechanism
has stopped.
6.3
Mowing with grass catcher (12, 13)
The appliance can be operated with and without
a grass catcher.
Hooking in the grass catcher
1. Stop the motor see chapter 6.2 "Starting and
stopping the motor (11)", page 37.
2. Raise the impact flap (12/1) (12/a).
3. Hook in (12/b) the grass catcher (12/2).
4. Release the impact flap.
Checking the fill level (13)
The cloth (13/1) for the fill level indicator arches
upwards due to the air flow when mowing (13/a).
When the grass catcher is full, the cloth lowers.
The grass catcher must be emptied.
Unhooking and emptying the grass catcher
CAUTION!

Only remove the grass catcher when
the mower mechanism has stopped.
NOTE
When emptying the grass catcher, also
clean the discharge holes of the fill level
indicator so that it continues to function
properly.
1. Stop the motor see chapter 6.2 "Starting and
stopping the motor (11)", page 37.
2. Raise the impact flap (12/1).
3. Lift the grass catcher (12/2) out and remove
to the rear.
4. Empty the grass catcher.
5. Clean the discharge holes (13/2) beneath the
fill level indicator cloth.
6. Hook in the grass catcher (see above).
