In the event of an accidental overload, it
switches off automatically. If overloaded
for a longer period, it switches to "cooling
mode", during which the machine runs at
a low cooling RPM, and once cooled, it re-
turns to the normal operating mode. When
the machine is turned off, an electric brake
activates, which signifi cantly shortens the
machine's run-down time. Depending on
the usage, this run-down time may vary
considerably.

5.2 Safety warnings for the
SSP 200 EB sword saw
- Keep all parts of your body clear of
the saw chain when the machine
is turned on. Before turning on the
sword saw, make sure the chain is
not touching anything. A second's dis-
traction when the sword saw is on may
cause your clothes or body get caught in
the saw chain.
- Hold the saw with both hands at all
times. The left hand holds the front aux-
iliary handle, and the right hand holds
the main grip. Never hold the saw in the
opposite hand confi guration, as this in-
creases the risk of operator injury.
- Use eye and ear protection. Use of
additional protective equipment for the
head, hands, legs and feet is recommend-
ed. Adequate protective clothing reduces
the risk of bodily injury from fl ying par-
ticles or through accidental contact with
the saw chain.
- Do not use the sword saw in a tree.
Using the sword saw in a tree may lead
to bodily injury. The machine is not de-
signed for such use.
- Always stand in the correct position
and work with the sword saw only
if you are on a solid, safe, even sur-
face. Any slippery or unstable surfaces,
such as ladders, etc., might cause loss of
balance or control over the sword saw.
- Carry the sword saw with the guide
bar away from your body and the
safety cover mounted.
- Follow the instructions for lubrica-
tion, chain tension and component
replacement. An incorrectly tightened
or greased chain may break or increase
the risk of kickback.
- Keep the grips dry, clean and clear
of oil and grease. Greasy or oily han-
dles are slippery and may cause loss of
control.
- Cut wood only. Do not use the sword
saw for other purposes than those
