11.1 Initial start-up

f Fill the appliance by running the tap until the pipework and f
appliance are free of air. Open the draw-off valve several
times.
f Activate the electronic safety switch (AE3). As supplied, the f
electronic safety switch is activated.
f For DCE 11/13 only: Push the temperature selector plug into f
the "set temperature" PCB. Note the alignment of the lead.
f Fit the appliance cover by positioning it and pressing against f
it until the locking hooks at the top and bottom click into
place. Check that the locking hooks have clicked into place.
f Switch the mains electrical power ON. f
f For DCE 11/13 only: Turn the temperature setting knob to its f
left-hand and right-hand end-stop.
f Remove the protective film from the faceplate. f
f Carry out a tightness check. f
f Check the function of the appliance. f

f Explain the functions of the appliance to the user. Show the f
user how to operate the appliance.
f Make users aware of potential dangers, especially the risk of f
scalding.
f Hand over these instructions. f

11.3 Recommissioning

Material losses
!
Following an interruption to the water supply, recommis-
sion the appliance by carrying out the following steps.
This will prevent destruction of the bare wire heating
system.
f Disconnect the appliance from the power supply by removing f
the fuses/tripping the MCBs.
f Open the tap for one minute until the appliance and its up- f
stream cold water inlet line are free of air.
f Switch the mains electrical power back ON again. f
f See chapter "Installation / Commissioning". f

12. Shutdown

f Disconnect the appliance from the mains at the MCB/fuse in f
the fuse box.
f Drain the appliance (see chapter "Installation / f
Maintenance").

13. Troubleshooting

WARNING Electrocution
In order to test the appliance it must be connected to the
power supply.
