Fitting / changing the rim
sprocket, guide bar and diamond
chain
WARNING! Always wear gloves, when

working with the chain.
NOTICE! When fitting a new chain, the chain tension
has to be checked frequently until the chain is run-in.
Check the chain tension regularly. A correctly tensioned
chain ensures good cutting performance and long life.
For more information about splineway and rim sprocket,

equipments" in the "Technical data" section.
•
Unscrew the bar nuts and remove the cover.
•
Dismantle the retaining ring. (1)
•
Remove the washer. (2)
•
Change the rim sprocket. (3)
•
Reassemble in reverse order.
Guide bar and diamond chain

Place the diamond chain on the guide bar. Begin on
the top side of the bar.

Place the chain over the rim sprocket.

Fit the guide bar and the diamond chain over the bar
bolts and align the hole in the guide bar with the chain
tensioner adjuster pin. Check that the drive links of the
chain fit correctly over the rim sprocket and that the
chain is correctly located in the groove in the bar.

Make sure that the bumpers on the drive links are
facing forward on the top edge of the bar. When using

a chain with double bumpers, the chain can be fitted
either way round.
•
Fit the cover and tightening the bar nuts easily by
hand. Tension the chain by turning the chain
tensioning screw clockwise using the combination
tool.

For right tension of the diamond chain, see picture.
Hold up the bar tip and tighten the bar nuts with the
combination tool. Make sure the chain can be turned
around the bar easily by hand.
