USER MANUAL
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General safety information for the use of electrical devices:
To avoid injury from fire or electric shock, please ensure
compliance with safety instructions when using this device.
Please read the instructions carefully and make sure that
you have understood them well. Keep the manual near the
equipment to be able to read it at any time. Always use
current sources connected to the ground and providing the
necessary voltage (indicated on the label on the device). If
you have any doubt, let an electrician check that your outlet
is properly grounded. Never use a damaged power cable.
Do not open the unit in damp or wet environment, or if your
hands or body are damp or wet. Protect the unit from solar
radiation. Use the device in a protected location to avoid
damaging the equipment or endangering others. Make sure
the device is able to cool and avoid placing it too close to
other devices that produce heat. Before cleaning, disconnect

it from the power source. Use a soft damp cloth for cleaning.
Avoid using detergents and make sure that no liquid enters
the unit. No internal element of this device needs to be
maintained by the user. Opening the device without our
approval leads to a loss of warranty.

responsible for their safety or have received
instruction from this person as to how the device is
used.

ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD! Do not attempt to
repair the unit yourself. In case of device failures,
repairs must be done by qualified experts.

Please check main plug and power cable regularly.
If the power cable for this device is damaged, it has
to be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer
service or another qualified person in order to
prevent hazards.

Prevent damages to the power cable by avoiding
squeezing or bending it or rubbing it on sharp edges.
Also keep the power cable away from hot surfaces
and open flames.

AREAS OF APPLICATION
The platform scale is designed to weigh elements placed
in the scale bowl.
The user is responsible for any damage resulting from
non-intended use of the device.
BEFORE FIRST USE
Upon receipt of the goods, check the packaging for integrity
and open it. If the packaging is damaged, please contact
your transport company and distributor within 3 days, and
document the damages as detailed as possible. Do not turn
the package upside down! When transporting the package,
please ensure that it is kept horizontal and stable.
DISPOSING OF PACKAGING
Please keep all packaging materials (cardboard, plastic
tapes and Styrofoam), so that in case of a problem, the
device can be sent back to the service centre in accurate
condition.

Display symbols:
Battery symbol – indicates battery charge level
„-" symbol – indicates a negative load
„„ symbol – indicates the scale has stabilised
„St lb / lb oz / kg" symbols – current weighing unit
„pcs" symbol – the scale is in pcs counting mode
USE
Press the [ON/OFF] button once to turn the scale on and
off. The scale may be powered using one of two power
sources: from the grid (standard power supply unit
included) or using batteries. Insert the batteries into the
back of the display housing.
The set includes a bracket which can be used to mount the
display on a wall. Attach the bracket to a wall or another
suitable surface at a chosen location (length of the spiral
cord connecting the display with the scale bowl under
maximum stretch is 3 m). Use two screws (included) to
attach the display to the bracket. There are holes on the
sides of the LCD display for the screws.
CHANGING UNITS
Press the [UNIT] button in order to change the units. The
units change in the following order: kg – > st:lb – > lb:oz.
COUNTING PIECES
The function is used to count the (pieces) number of
weighed items. Press the [COUNT] button to activate this
function. By default, the number 25 will appear on the
display. The user can select 25/50/75/100. These represent
the number of items which the user should place in the
scale bowl in order to determine the weight of a single
item. Select using the [TARE] button. Once the value is
selected, place the given number of items on the scale
bowl and press the UNIT] button to confirm the selection.
Add further elements and the number of items will be
shown on the display.
TARE WEIGHT / RESET
1.
Put an empty container in the scale bowl and wait
for the display to settle. Press the [TARE] button.
Zero should appear on the display. In order to reset
everything, remove the container from the scale
bowl and press the [TARE] button. The scale will be
reset.

Tare weight: applicable for the entire load range. If
the display is showing a value other than 0 when the
scale bowl is empty, reset it by pressing the [TARE]
button.

CALIBRATION
Switch the scale on with the scale bowl empty, press and
hold the UNIT] button whilst the scale is switching on.
[noLoad] will appear on the display. Wait until the scale
stabilisation symbol appears. Press the [UNIT] button.
[AdLoad] will appear in the display. Load the scale with
a known weight. Press the [UNIT] button and then enter
the weight on the scale: use the [TARE] button to increment
the value by 1, use the [COUNT] button to switch between
options on the display. Use the [UNIT] button to confirm
value. [End] will appear on the display. Calibration is
complete.
USE GUIDELINES
Do not overload the scale, this might damage the
cells with strain gauges. „ERR" will appear on the
display if the scale is overloaded.
Do NOT leave load on the scale for long..
Check battery frequently. When scale runs out of
power, charge battery with its dedicated charger or
replace it with a full one.
If the scale is not used for prolonged periods of time,
remove the batteries.
Avoid extreme temperatures. Do not place the unit
in direct sunlight or near the air conditioning.
Avoid using strong electrical or magnetic fields
during use.
Make sure the scale is placed on a stable table and is
not subject to vibrations..
Avoid
places
where
moisture
can
lead
condensation. Avoid direct contact with water.
Do not place the unit close to windows, doors or fans
that may cause unstable results due to air currents.
Keep your machine clean. Do not store products on
the scale when it is not used
Do NOT attempt to repair the scale yourself. Contact
your local representative.
REGULAR CONTROL OF THE DEVICE
Control regularly that the device doesn´t present any
damage. If there is any damage, please stop using the
device. Please contact your customer service to solve the
problem.
What to do in case of a problem?
Please contact your customer service and prepare following
information:
Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be
found on the technical plate on the
device).
If relevant, a picture of the damaged, broken or
defective part.
It will be easier for your customer service clerk to
determine the source of the problem if you give
a detailed and precise description of the matter.
The more detailed your information, the better the
customer service will be able to solve your problem
rapidly and efficiently!
CAUTION: Never open the device without the authorization
of your customer service. This can lead to a loss of warranty!
SAFE REMOVAL OF BATTERIES AND RECHARGEABLE
BATTERIES
AA 1.5V batteries are installed in SBS-PT-75C, SBS-PT-150C
and SBS-PT-300C industrial scales. Turn the scale off before
removal. Dismantle the cover on the back of the device and
remove batteries. Recycle batteries.
