8.3 Cleaning dust container and filter

If the dust container can no longer be com-
pletely emptied ( Chapter 8.2, 'Emptying the
dust container') or if you can no longer re-
move dirt on the filter by hand:
1. Take out and empty the dust container as
described under
Chapter 8.2, 'Emptying
the dust container'.
ATTENTION:
Dust container and filter are washable, but
they are not suitable for cleaning in wash-
ing machines or dishwashers. Also, do not
use detergents or brushes with hard bris-
tles.
2. Thoroughly rinse out the dust container by
hand under cold running water or luke-
warm water (Fig. 29).
3. Thoroughly rinse out the filter by hand un-
der cold running water or lukewarm water
(Fig. 30), until all the dirt is removed.
4. Let both elements dry for at least 24 hours
at room temperature (Fig. 31), until they
are completely dry.
5. Put the filter back in the dust container in
such a manner that the plastic grille of the
filter can be seen (Fig. 32). Forcefully
press on the filter.
6. Place the dust bin cover on the dust bin.
7. Proceed as described under
8.4, 'Inserting the dust bin'.
