1.1 Front Panel

2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher Netzspan-
nung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie-
mals selbst Eingriffe im Gerät vor. Durch unsach-
gemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages. Außerdem erlischt beim
Öffnen des Gerätes jeglicher Garantieanspruch.
Beachten Sie für den Betrieb auch unbedingt die fol-
genden Punkte:
•
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung in Räumen
geeignet.
•
Schützen Sie das Gerät vor Feuchtigkeit und
Hitze.
•
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen und sofort den
Netzstecker ziehen, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlußleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.

2 Safety Notes
This unit uses lethally high voltage (230 V~). To
prevent a shock hazard do not open the cabinet.
Leave servicing to authorized skilled personnel
only. Besides any guarantee claim expires if the
unit has been opened.
For the operation also watch in any case the follow-
ing items:
•
The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
•
Avoid excessively warm locations for the unit or
high humidity.
•
Do not set the unit into operation and immediately
take the mains plug out of the mains socket if:
1. damage at the unit or mains cable can be seen.
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident.
3. there are malfunctions.
The unit must in any case be repaired by author-
ized skilled personnel.
•
A damaged mains cable must only be repaired by
the manufacturer or authorized skilled personnel.
•
Never pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
by means of the mains cable.
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is operated in the wrong way or not
repaired by authorized skilled personnel, there is
no liability for possible damage.

Eine beschädigte Netzanschlußleitung darf nur
durch den Hersteller oder eine autorisierte Fach-
werkstatt ersetzt werden.
•
Den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der
Steckdose ziehen.

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, falsch bedient
oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für eventu-
elle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen werden.
•
Für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes Staubtuch
verwenden, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder
Wasser.
3 Inbetriebnahme
1) Zuerst die Eingänge (23-26) mit den Signalquel-
len (CD- oder Plattenspieler, Cassettenrecorder
etc.) verbinden. Dabei auf die farbige Kennzeich-
nung der Buchsen und Stecker achten (rot = rech-
ter Kanal, weiß = linker Kanal). Die beiden Ein-
gangsumschalter (1+ 5) auf die entsprechende
Position stellen. Ein Mikrofon kann an die Klin-
kenbuchse DJ MIC (16) angeschlossen werden.
2) Einen Verstärker an die Cinch-Buchsen AMP (22)
anschließen.
3) Für eventuelle Tonaufnahmen oder einen zweiten
Verstärker sind zwei weitere Cinch-Ausgangs-
buchsen [REC (21)] vorhanden. Diese sind mit
den Buchsen AMP (22) parallelgeschaltet. Der
Ausgangspegel ist somit vom Summenregler
MASTER (12) abhängig.
4) Zuletzt den Netzstecker in die Steckdose stecken
(230 V~/50 Hz).
5) Um starke Einschaltgeräusche zu vermeiden,
zuerst den Summenregler MASTER (12) auf '0'
stellen. Dann den Mixer mit dem Schalter
POWER (10) einschalten und danach erst den
Verstärker.

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in ac-
cordance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, pro-
ceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the let-
ter L or coloured red.
3 Setting into Operation
1) At first connect the inputs (23-26) with the signal
sources (CD player or turntable, cassette record-
er, etc.). Watch the coloured coding of the jacks
and plugs (red = right channel, white = left chan-
nel). Set both input selector switches (1+ 5) to the
corresponding positions. A microphone can be
connected to the

" jack DJ MIC (16).

2) Connect an amplifier to the cinch jacks AMP (22).
3) For possible audio recordings or a second ampli-
fier there are two further cinch output jacks [REC
(21)]. These are connected in parallel with the
AMP jacks (22). The output level depends on the
MASTER control (12).
4) Finally connect the mains plug to the socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
5) To avoid bump-in noise, at first set the MASTER
control (12) to "0". Then switch on the mixer with
the POWER switch (10) and only after that the
amplifier.
