machine.
30) Do not operate the mower close to ditches or verges which could collapse under the weight of the
machine, especially when the surface is wet.
FURTHER SAFETY ADVICE
The above mentioned warnings could not be enough to avoid all risk if the operator does not use the
mower correctly. Therefore, for your safety we give you the following advice:
31) Do not drive in reverse at high speed.
32) It is dangerous to operate the steering wheels abruptly with the engine at full power.
33) Only refuel outdoors, always turn the engine off, keep away from sparks or naked flames. Do not
smoke! Always replace the cap on the fuel tank and those on fuel containers properly.
34) If the fuel tank has to be emptied, only do so outdoors.
35) Do not operate the mower over gravel which could be sucked up and drawn into the blade,
becoming therefore highly dangerous.
36) CAUTION: to avoid the risk of fire, keep the engine compartment, exhaust, discharge outlets,
battery, tank area and fuel pipe free from grass, leaves, dirt etc.
37) Do not store the mower inside any building where the engine fumes can reach naked flames, sparks
or bare electrical wires.
The mower must always be used according to the warnings and instructions given in this manual. The
manufacturer disclaims all responsibilities should the user fail to follow the instructions set out in this
manual.
Always remember to put on gloves and eye protection to prevent injuries when replacing or sharpening
the blade.
Regularly check the rear stone protection to safeguard the user's body from the cut material that could
be projected by the mower deck.
Regularly check the blades fixing bolts. Replace them if they show signs of wear.
Before using the mower, always make sure that the blade, its bolts and cutting edges are not worn or
damaged. Replace them if necessary.
Risks connected to the ground:
a) on severe slopes.
b) when driving uphill, the user's risk of falling could make the machine go back creating
therefore dangerous situations.
c) when on the ground there could be several natural or artificial objects: stones, tree stumps or
trunks, bottles, steel pieces, fence posts and other foreign bodies. These objects could turn into
highly-dangerous flying debris and affect the function of the mower deck. Therefore the user
must avoid hitting them.
Before leaving the mower switch off the engine.
No one must use the mower without being given instructions and shown its safe use.
Pay particular attention on slopes when the grass is wet.
When transferring the machine on other vehicles always switch the engine off.
