those who like their music loud, we therefore recommend investing in an amplifier whose
continuous output roughly corresponds with the loudspeakers music-power-handling
capacity; peak output levels cleanly delivered by an amplifier may be way above the
continuous or rated power-handing capacity of the speakers without putting them at any
risk.
Speaker combinations for surround sound
Besides hi-fi sound reproduction, all AURUM loudspeakers are also ideally suited to analogue
and digital surround sound. For such purposes it is necessary to supplement the two front
speakers with a centre speaker ideally the AURUM BASE and two rear satellites ideally the
AURUM PHASE. A system put together on this basis can achieve unsurpassed homogeneity
across the entire sonic picture.
Troubleshooting table
An unsatisfactory sonic picture is not always due to a fault in your system which can only he
rectified by a specialist. Which is why we have drawn up a few tips for you in the following
table. Before testing out your speakers when they have been connected up, please ensure
that the amplifier's bass and treble controls are set to the middle or neutral position and the
volume control is set no higher than the 9 o'clock position.
