1.2 Safety information on explosion protection
Devices or components that are used in potentially explosive atmospheres and
which are tested and approved in accordance with national, European or
international explosion protection guidelines may only be used under the
approved conditions in compliance with the statutory provisions.
Oxygen-enriched atmospheres
Explosion protection is not guaranteed in oxygen-enriched atmospheres
(>21 Vol% O ).

► Remove the device from the potentially explosive atmosphere.
Risk of explosion!
► Do not open the gas monitor in explosion-hazard areas.
Specific usage conditions
 Under certain extreme circumstances, exposed plastic and unearthed metal
parts of the enclosure may store an ignition-capable level of electrostatic
charge.
 Activities such as placing the device in a pocket or on a belt, operating the
keypad or cleaning with a damp cloth, do not present a significant
electrostatic risk. However, where a static-generating mechanism is
identified, such as repeated brushing against clothing, then suitable
precautions shall be taken, e.g. the use of anti-static clothing and footwear.
