CARE TIPS

• Alcohol and other chemical solutions must
not be used for cleaning the body of the
unit; otherwise the plastic parts could be
damaged. If necessary, wipe it with a soft,
dry cloth.
• The flash unit should not be subjected to
hard blows, high heat and/or moisture.
• Extremely low temperatures have an
adverse effect on the operation of the flash
unit, especially due to diminished disposa-
ble/rechargeable battery power. Therefore,
we recommend putting it in a warm inside
pocket if it is cold.
• An abrupt temperature fluctuation from cold
to warm should be avoided, because mois-
ture may form from the condensate, which
has an adverse effect on its operation. If it
does form at some time, then it will disap-
pear by itself after a short time in a dry
environment. Do not switch on the flash
unit during that time.
• The flash unit should not become wet.
The consequence could be expensive
repairs or even irreparable damage.
• If the flash unit is not going to be used, then
the disposable/rechargeable batteries
should be removed and the unit kept in a
cool, dry place that is free of dust and che-
micals.
• The flash capacitor built into the flash unit
undergoes a physical change when the
device has not been used for a long time.
For this reason, it is necessary to switch on
the device every three months for approxi-
mately 10 minutes. The power supplies
must deliver enough power so that the flash
standby indication lights up no later than
one minute after switching on.
