Continuity sound test for a resistance

NB : the buzzer also emits a beep each time
the multitester is switched ON or
OFF, and at each upward change of function

2.2 FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC TO THE CDA 104

Volt test: red W light signals the presence of
a voltage on the ohmmeter.

HOLD : memory function.
One press on the HOLD button activates the
memory function: display of HOLD and hold
the measured value for 20 seconds.
NB : press the HOLD button once when the
CDA 104 is disconnected from a live circuit,
to set the multitester to the AC voltmeter
function for approx 20 seconds (see also p. 15).
III
: display backlighting
Automatic lighting of the display if the light
intensity is less than 50 lux (day light).
The photo-transistor located next to the
controls the back lighting.
