4.3 Fitting the SKF grease cartridge
Remove the locking ring from the protection cover. Hold the protection cover tightly
to prevent the ejection of the spring. Remove the protection cover, the spring and the
follower plate. Remove the pull cap from the new grease cartridge. Put the new grease
cartridge into the lubricator. Remove the plastic ring from the piston cap of the new
cartridge, but keep the piston in position. The piston is necessary for the correct operation
of the lubricator. Install the spring, the follower plate and the protection cover. Tighten the
locking ring.
4.4 Connection of lubrication tubes to the lubricator
Carefully cut the lubrication tubes to the correct lengths for the application. Before
connecting the tubes to the application, the tubes must be filled with grease. See section
SKF LAGD 400
