Inserting the batteries
Open the battery compartment by sliding the cover downwards.
Insert the batteries, type AAA, in the battery compartment, paying attention to correct polarity.
The handset does not work if the batteries are inserted incorrectly. The handset
could also be damaged as a result.
Replace the cover back on the battery compartment and slide it upwards until it snaps into
place.
Charging the batteries
Place the handset in the base or charging station. An acoustic signal and charging indicator
lamp acknowledge the charging process. When charging the batteries for the first time, let
them charge for at least 12 hours without interruption. The handset warms up during the char-
ging process. This is normal and does not represent a risk. Do not charge the handset with
charging units from other manufacturers.

Setting the display language
There are 12 different languages available for selection on each handset. Proceed as follows to
select a language:
Press the O button.

Use the G and H buttons to navigate to the HANDSET menu option.

11. Use the G and H buttons to navigate to the LANGUAGE menu option.
12. Press the O button.
13. Use the G and H buttons to select a language.
14. Press the O button. The language selected is set.
