Removing/replacing the glass
jug lid
(image B1–B3)
The appliance is equipped with a glass jug
and a lid.
To remove the lid, proceed as follows:
1. Open the lid as illustrated (image B1).
2. Turn the lid in the direction of the arrow
to release the left-hand pin of the lid from the
holder (see image B2). The lid can now be
removed.
To fit the lid, proceed as follows:
1. First insert the right-hand pin into the
holder, then turn the lid in the direction of the

2. Close the lid.
Drip protection
When the appliance is in operation, the
filter compartment must be closed and the
glass jug must be standing properly with lid
under the filter compartment. The lid of the
glass jug pushes the drip-stop (10) upwards
and the coffee can flow from the filter an
through the lid into the glass jug.
The drip protector (10) prevents water
running out of the filter when the glass jug
(15) is removed from the appliance. During
the brewing process however, the glass jug
(15) should not be removed from the appli-
ance for more than 30 seconds, otherwise
the filter will fill up and the c fee will flow
over.
