1. General specification
Only professionals may work on electrical plants.
The regulations in accordance with the security
and the environment have to be followed.
Honeywell products are free from PCBs, PCTs,
asbestos, formaldehyde, cadmium, and water-
repelling substances.
At the construction of the devices the following
standards have been considered:
EN 50081-1,2 (emitted interference),
EN 50082-1 (immunity to interference),
EN 60335-1 (electrical safety),
IEC 695-2-1 to -2-3 (fire resistance, glow-wire
test).
All devices have been checked by the
manufacturer concerning safety regulations
according to EN 60335-1 (DIN VDE 0700 T500).
2. Usage according to designation
•
This temperature display is designed to
indicate room and medium temperatures for
general-purpose applications but in particular
for freezer chests and cooling rooms.
Any variation from this or other use will
not comply with the requirements.
3. Safety guidelines
•
Only connect sensors supplied with the unit. If
a replacement sensor is required, only use
sensors of the same type
(Part No. PCR-61007).
•
The temperature display is not intended for
use in vehicles because the possible
operating voltage ranges, interference level,
and environmental operating conditions
exceed the limits of application.
•
Please follow the limits of application and the
technical data (section 10).

3.1 Sources of danger
•
Caution – power supply!
Hazard to life
by electric shock
•
Never expose unit to water or moisture. Risk
of malfunction and short circuit. Only use unit
when adjusted to normal ambient temperature
(+15 to +30 °C). Extreme changes in
temperature in combination with high
atmospheric humidity may lead to formation of
condensed water.
•
Never expose unit to excessive heat, dust or
vibrations. Avoid impact and pressure loads.
If housing is damaged, there is a risk of
electric shock causing death or injury.
•
If a safe application of the unit is no longer
possible the device is to be taken out of
operation and to be secured against
unintended operation.
This applies, in particular, when:
•
the housing shows visible damage,
•
the unit does no longer work or
•
was stored under unfavourable conditions for
a long time.
•
The device must not be opened! If defects are
presumed, the device is to be returned to the
retailer or the manufacturer with a detailed
description of the defect
3.2 Safety measures
•
Lead sensor leads separately from power
supply wires: minimum clearance 5 cm.
•
Do not lay sensor leads in multiple cables
together with other leads carrying power
supply, otherwise the system may malfunction.
•
Tighten supply terminals carefully; excessive
strain will result in damage to the device.
