18. Changing the batteries in the remote control
If the range of the provided remote control dwindles, you have to exchange the battery (2 x 1.5 V AA
type: Micro).
To ensure a proper battery exchange, proceed as follows:
• Take the remote control and pull down the battery compartment cover on the rear.
• Remove the spent batteries.
• Insert two new batteries type Micro AAA into the battery holder observing the correct polarity.
• Slide the battery compartment cover onto the remote control again.

19. Maintenance and cleaning

Prior to cleaning the housing of the LCD monitor with digital recorder from the outside, separate the pow-
er unit from the LCD monitor with digital recorder. A clean, dry and soft cloth is sufficient to clean the out-
side of the LCD monitor with digital recorder and the remote control.
Apart from the described battery change, there are no parts that need to be serviced.
20. Disposal
a) General information
Please dispose the device when it is no longer in use, according to the current statutory require-
ments.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
You, as the end user, are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all spent batteries/accu-
mulators. Disposing of spent batteries/accumulators in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the follo-
wing symbols, which indicate that it is not permitted to dispose of them in the household
waste. The designations for the decisive heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury,
Pb = lead.
You can hand in your used batteries/rechargeable batteries at the official collection points
of your community at no cost or everywhere where batteries/rechargeable batteries
are sold.
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
