BATTERY STATUS:
• The battery is empty if the model begins to lose thrust. Land in order to avoid crashing.
The charge status of the model battery is shown at the top left of the display on the
remote control.
8 MOUNTING THE ROTORS
8A An assembly aid is included with the model for mounting and replacement of the
rotors.
8B It is attached to the top of the motor so that it does not turn when screwing on the rotor.
Attention:
The rotors are fitted with a right-handed or left-handed thread in the hub.A-rotors can
only be screwed on anticlockwise and B-rotors can only be screwed on clockwise. Only
tighten the rotors slightly in order to be able to loosen them again and to avoid dama
ging the motors.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE FLYING
GENERAL FLYING TIPS:
• Always place the model on a level surface. An inclined surface can, under certain
circumstances, have a negative impact on the starting behavior of the model.
• Always operate the controls slowly and with a gentle touch.
• Always maintain visual contact with the model and do not look at the remote control!
• Move the thrust control down again somewhat as soon as the model lifts off from
the ground. Maintain flying altitude by adjusting the thrust controller.
• If the model lowers, move the thrust control slightly upward again.
• If the model climbs, move the thrust control down slightly.
• To fly along a curve, tapping the directional controller very slightly in the respective
direction often suffices.
There is a general tendency during preliminary attempts at flight to operate the
model's controls too aggressively.Always operate the controls slowly and carefully.
Never fast and fitfully.
• Beginners should first master trimming before attempting to master the thrust controller.
The model does not necessarily have to fly straight at the beginning - initially, it is
more important to maintain a constant height of approximately one meter above the
ground by repeatedly tapping the thrust control. Only then should the pilot practice
steering the model left and right.
9 DISPLAY AND STATUS LEDS
There is a series of information on the display of the remote control:
9A Number of satellites received
by the model
9B Number of satellites received
by the remote control
9C Current status
9D GPS coordinates
9E Discharge status of the model battery
9F Remaining video recording time
24
9G Discharge status of the batteries
in the remote control
9H Current flight speed of the model
in m/s
9I Current altitude of the model
9J Horizontal distance of the model to
the remote control in metres over
ground
The following statuses of the model can be determined based on the colour of the
Status LEDs 1B:
Switched on: All four LEDs under the motor console simultaneously blink white
Compass calibration: The LEDs blink yellow
Flight: All four LEDs blink simultaneously. The front blink white, the rear two LED indicate
the following flight status:
• Normal: blinking yellow
• GPS OK: blinking green
• Coming Home: blinking blue
• Model battery depleted: blinking red
10 ADVANCED SETTINGS
Switching between Flight mode 1 and 2
The term flight mode refers to the assignment of the controls:
Mode 1
Control 2A: Forward/backwards and rotation
Control 2B: Thrust and banking
10A Switching to Mode 1:
• Hold control 2A to the top left and control 2B to the top right
• Simultaneously switch the ON/OFF switch 2F to ON (the model remains off)
• To calibrate the controls rotate 2A and 2B completely at least twice
• Then press and hold a trim button for at least two seconds
10B Switching to Mode 2:
• Hold control 2A and 2B to the top left
• Simultaneously switch the ON/OFF switch 2F to ON (the model remains off)
• To calibrate the controls rotate 2A and 2B completely at least twice
• Then press and hold a trim button for at least two seconds
10C Expert menu
Different settings can be made in the expert menu such as
• Control direction reversal (Set Reverse)
• Control sensitivity (Set Sensitivity)
• Video channel selection (5.8G frequency)
• Set manual (free flying mode)
• Show Version (display of the software version). Normally it is not necessary to
make changes here. Therefore, we recommend reserving this menu
exclusively for Revell Customer Service and to refrain from making any changes.
Menu navigation takes place with control 2B for up/down and left/right.
• Hold the control for thrust 2A all the way down
• Simultaneously press the control for forward/backwards 2B down vertically for at
least one second.
• The display shows SE. Now the control directions of the axes are reversed with
the trim buttons.
• To save the settings and exit the menu, press the control for forward/backwards
2B down vertically for at least 2 seconds
