Initial operation
To switch off
• To switch off the mixer, turn the volume on the mixer and then the amplifier first of all to minimum.
• Switch off the amplifier.
• Next, switch off the mixer using the POWER switch (26) and then the reproduction devices (record player, CD
player etc.).
• If you do not require the mixer for a longer period, unplug the power supply unit from the socket.

b) Selecting the input

Reduce the volume to the minimum setting using the relevant channel fader (11) before
actuating an input selection switch (4). Due to the different levels of the output sources, sudden,
excessive volume could occur when switching between the inputs.
• Use the input selection switches (4) to select the desired inputs.

c) Record level indicator

The recording level indicator provides information about the input signal level of the two channels CH1 and CH2.
As far as possible, the indicator should be kept out of the red area as the music signal may otherwise
by distorted.
d) Volume control
• Adjust the volume of the connected amplifier to minimum.
• Turn the MASTER control (9) and the GAIN control (5) to minimum.
• Slide the channel fader (11) to minimum.
• Use the input selection switches (4) to select the appropriate channel input.
• Start the connected reproduction device, e.g. a CD player. If this device has a volume control, set the volume to
about 75% of the maximum level.
• Slide the appropriate channel fader (11) right to the top.
• Turn the MASTER control (9) to maximum.
• You can set the signal level using the GAIN control (5) of the respective channel. The signal level can now be
read on the recording level display. It should not exceed the yellow area.
